Senior Systems Quality Engineer – Suzy Palmer

A Day in the Life of Suzy Palmer

Suzy has been with the business 3 years and is uniquely placed to evaluate the opportunities for improvement within her role as Senior Systems Quality Engineer.

With a love of classic cars, Suzy began her career as an apprentice in fabrication and welding and is a time served sheet metal worker. She went on to work as a Quality Manager for a subcontract fabrication company and then an Engineering Lecturer at a local college. Her previous role prior to working for Erlson, was spent as a Quality Manager for a global forklift truck attachment company based in Manchester.

Using the best of her wide-ranging experience, Suzy has made significant improvements to Erlson’s Quality Management System and is looking forward to helping the company progress into the aerospace industry, another industry that is as heavily regulated as the automotive industry.

A Typical Day

Her typical day focuses on auditing, system compliance and meeting the stringent requirements of the customers. She praises her initial induction saying, “there is a good team of people here at Erlson and with them, I believe anything is possible.”

Outside of work Suzy spends her time with her partner and daughter, renovating their home and attending classic car events.
