A day in the life – Erlson Precision Components

Introducing Scott Murison

Scott originally started with Erlson through the graduate programme, straight out of university where he studied a degree in integrated engineering with industrial management.

He started his career at Erlson on the shop floor running machines, checking parts and dealing with inventory and progressed to become a project manager for new products introduction. 

22 years with the business, he has worked in many different areas such as production, logistics, materials, procurement, engineering for production parts and automated assembly lines. He’s spent time in India, Germany, Hungary, and Poland in both commercial and technical roles so is very comfortable with the customers. 

Sales and Contracts Management was therefore a fairly natural transition for Scott. 

What a typical day looks like

His typical day starts at home, where he will check his emails and see what awaits him in the office. After responding to any immediate issues, he reverts to the planned activity for the week. He can often be found in customer meetings either on or off site, responding to their particular needs. Outside of work, Scott spends his time with his wife and 8-year-old son, or ‘The Three Amigos’ as he likes to call them.
